Been kinda quiet here in Betaville, so I haven’t had much of interest to talk about. But I’ll mention a few things:

Replaced a bathroom ceiling fan that had a sticky rotor (wouldn’t spin up on it’s own). Figured that it was be a couple/few hours job. Hah, said nature. It took me two days to get it installed. Still got to finish up the drywall work.

I’m having an auxiliary dwelling unit (ADU) built for my mother in law. Signed the contract in January and it still ain’t done (why does nothing ever go as planned? I wanted my MiL here already.) Exterior is all but complete. Interior is getting drywall installed and mudded. Biggest hurdle is the local utility and getting them to decide how power is going to be ran to it. Apparently something changed in the code and what was initially expected to be done, no longer works.

After 3 years, I finally got the last of the 2 prong outlets replaced with properly grounded 3 prong (NEMA-15) outlets, so go me! Or that’s what I’d like to say, but I’ve been pretty much a slug this summer. I really ought to find a part time gig to help pay for everything, if I had any marketable skills.

Until next time!
